Research Abstract |
This study empirically investigates Japanese medical care cost and health insurance coverage using micro-level data. It is well known that the medical care cost is concentrate on infancy, childhood, and old-age. This study is organized as following three parts. (1) The research on concentration and persistence of health care expenditure using health insurance claims data. (2) The research on the relationship between long-term care insurance facilities and elderly's interregional migration using Japanese municipal-level data. (3) The research on mother's fertility behavior using individual-level data. These researches offer numerous suggestions on medical care cost and health insurance coverage.
