| Research Abstract |
This research project aimed to reexamine the Nagasaki trade during the early modern period. Through an analysis of the changes in the international division of labour, the research project attempted to locate the Japanese economy in the Asian and world economy. In particular, the project made efforts to discover economic links between the changes in Japan and those in Asia as well as the world.
