Research Abstract |
This study concludes that there are three findings as follows : 1) what information about coping with Futouko(absent from school) and contact with important person are determined by relation of self-help groups to other organization. 2) regardless of difference in social network on organizational level, social capital functions as bonding/bridging social ties in each self-help groups of Parents who have Futokouji(school absentee). Social capital accumulated in these self-help groups has double function. 3) members of self-help groups use social capital as social resources according to their object. Novice members tend to use bridging social capital for coping with Futoko as "problems". On the other hand, experienced members who have participated in the groups for a long time are inclined to use bonding social capital for recognizing their life as valuable one.
