Research Abstract |
This research aims to clarify the principle of space and structure of ancient architecture in East Asia through the restoration process of excavated architectural site, regarding as a methodology for understanding ancient architecture. Analyses are as following: (1) on restoration of the excavated sites of 7 yakushi Buddhas hall of Shin-yakushi-ji temple and Suzaku gate of Nara Palace Site (2) comparative study on the structure of ancient architecture between Japan and China (3) reconsidering on architectural technique of Jomon, Yayoi, and Kofun periods. In consequence, new points for rethinking technical view of ancient architecture are suggested.
