Research Abstract |
Recent research has demonstrated that D-amino acids are widely distributed in living organisms, from bacteria to mammals, and play a key role in specific physiological functions, although the full picture is not yet known. In this study, we isolated D-arginine and arginine kinase from various animals. Furthermore, we propose a unique substrate-recognition system for Sabellastarte arginine kinase.
