Research Abstract

Fer, a tyrosine kinase harboring membrane-bending F-BAR domain, was found to be activated in a manner dependent on membrane curvature. It was also revealed that Fer is involved in macropinocytosis mediated by membrane ruffle formation, as well as clathrin-mediated endocytosis for internalization of transferrin receptor.
