Research Abstract |
SLC35F transporter family contains 6 member genes of unknownfunction. This study aimed to determine whether these genes are involved in sensitivity of cancer cells to nucleotide anticancer drugs. Silencing of these genes decreased cell growth of colon cancer cells ; however, that did not affect the sensitivity to 5fluorouracil. These results indicate that SLC35F members have no function on transport of nucleotide anticancer drugs in cancer cells.
