Research Abstract |
Daikenchuto(DKT) inhibited productions of inflammation related cytokines such as IL-12(p40), IL-16, IL-17, IL-18, TRAIL, MIP1-α, TNF-α for volunteers who took NSAIDs. Capsule endoscopy scoring index for small bowel mucosal inflammatory change in the DKT group were lower than in the placebo group. This study suggested that DKT has efficacy in preventing NSAIDs-induced small bowel injuries.
