Research Abstract |
Lipin-1 is known as a multifunctional metabolic regulator. The gene expression of lipin-1 in adipocytes is closely related to whole body glucose metabolism, but the mechanism remains unclear. Here, we showed that TNF-α suppressed lipin-1 mRNA expression via Jak2 signal in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Moreover, suppression of lipin-1 expression using RNAi method increases monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 mRNA expression in the adipocytes. We conclude that lipin-1 is implicated in one of crucial molecules related to adipose tissue inflammation.
