Research Abstract |
In macrophage and adipocyte, SIRT inhibited inflammatory responses accompany with improvement of insulin sensitivity. SIRT1 activator improved glucose intolerance and insulin sensitivity in obese Zucker Fatty rats. Pharmacological activation of SIRT1 may be a useful anti-inflammatoy therapeutic strategy for treating insulin resistance.
