Research Abstract |
Sox6 promotes the increase in the probability of survival, and the differentiation to neuron not only in neuroblast but also in neural stem cells. Especially, survival of a neural stem cell derived early stage of neurogenesis can be complemented with the member of other Sox family, but Survival remarkably decreased by Sox6 is knocked down in a neural stem cell derived later stage of neurogenesis. It suggested that Sox6 is mainly factor for survival of the neural stem cell of this stage. Further, we found some candidates of target genes of Sox6, that promote survival and neural differentiation of neural stem cells.
