Research Abstract |
Nicotine induces the expression of CA II, inflammatory cytokines and PGE2 in osteoclast precursors. In the presence of COX-2 inhibitor , nicotine did not induce CA II expression. These results suggest that PGE2 play a role in the induction of CA II expression by autocrine manner.
