Research Abstract |
In this study, breast cancer survivors experienced an anxiety regarding their sex lives after treatment, which were classified into 5 categories, such as<difficulty in leading a healthy sexual life due to physical distress despite a favorable relationship>. They expected nurses to provide them with<information at an appropriate time to meet individual needs> and<opportunities and places to consult nurses specialized in breast cancer>. It was also shown that the process of post-treatment sexual adaptation greatly depends on not only survivors themselves, but also their partners ; therefore, it may be necessary for nurses to deal with individual sexual problems, while considering survivors' previous sexual lives, including partnerships.
