The purpose of this study was to clarify the inner developmental process of the family faced with various problems associated with pathological gambling, through participation in self-help groups. Research Design was Qualitative Analytic Induction Research.

[Remarks] 援助者情報交換会「ギャンブル依存症とその支援について」を開催した。開催目的は、ギャンブル依存症の知識と対応の情報を共有し、家族や本人の支援に活用することであり、会には学外19名、学内9名の計28名の参加があった。研究代表者が研究データの要約を発表し、町田政明氏が講師として、病気の症状と回復過程、援助機関の対応方法等についての講義を行った。会では、医療機関でのギャンブル依存症が疑われるうつ症状患者への対応や、趣味と病気の違いなどについて、質問があった。一般参加者から「もっと早く病気と知っていればよかった」と
