Research Abstract |
Thisstudyclarifiedtheconditionsandperceptionsofbereavedfamilieswhentheyreceivedhomevisitsbyvisitingnursestoexaminethespecificvisitingmethodsfbrbereavedfamilies.Semi-structuredinterviewswereconductedwithl5membersofbereavedfamilies,andobtaineddatawereanalyzedqualitativelyandinductively.Theconditionsofbereavedfamilieswerecharacterizedby"busyness"and"worseningofhealth"whentheyreceivedvisitsduringtheearlyperiod(i.e.,lessthanonemonthafterbereavement),and「'settlingdown"and"asignofchange"aroundthe49thday.Asfbrtheperceptions,bereavedfamiliesfelt"trustandappreciationtowardvisitingnurses"andttasenseofreliefasworriesdisappeared"whentheyreceivedvisitslessthanonemonthafterbereavement,and"healing"aroundthe49thday.Theconditionsofbereavedfamilieschangeastimepassesafterbereavement,andtheirperceptionstowardnursingvisitsdifferdependingonthedifferencesintheirconditions;therefbre,itisimportanttochooseanappropriatetimefbreachbereavedfamilyinordertomaximizetheeffectivenessofnursingvisitinencouragingmembersofbereavedfamiliestosortouttheirfeelingsfollowingbereavement.
