Research Abstract |
This research seeks to reveal incentive conditions and actions of both firms and young fixed-term workers about the skill formation and career ladders. According to the empirical research, (1) young fixed-term workers who work more than 40 hours per week (full-time) have gained skills under certain conditions in service sectors. But (2) few of them has changed their status into regular workers. (3)Institutional support or protection as public policy might be needed for those who remain as fixed-term workers.
