Research Abstract |
I developed a manipulation method of a magnetic carbon nanotube (CNT) on nano/micro scales by an external magnetic field. When I applied the external magnetic field, the magnetic carbon nanotube, in which iron atoms are contained, can be controlled by the field. In this study, I manipulated the magnetic carbon nanotube two dimensionally utilizing a rotational motion of the CNT on the surface of a magnetic substrate by a rotational magnetic field. I also visualized the CNT immobilizing the fluorescence molecules on the surface of CNT.
