Research Abstract |
I showed that litter of Phragmites communis remained on intertidal flats for about 50 days as coarse particle organic matter. Some macro invertebrates species were observed in litter path formed in tidal flats, suggesting reed litter provides food sources or settlements of benthic macroinvertebrates in estuarine intertidal flats.
