| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
崇高畏怖・畏敬の体験には向社会性を促進させる効果があり，近年認知神経科学で注目されている美学的概念である．高齢福祉分野では社会的な交流が高齢者のウェルビーイングに重要であることが知られている.ところが，本邦の高齢者施設では入居者の交流の少なさが問題となっている．そこで，崇高体験が持つ向社会性の促進効果を利用し，高齢者の社会的交流を促進させることで老齢ウェルビーイングへアプローチすることを目指す．この目的のため，オンライン実験，行動実験，VR研究，脳波研究と段階的に効果を検証する．老齢ウェルビーイング分野へは感性科学に基づく新たなプログラム開発を，一方，感性脳情報学へは社会的課題への応用という新しい方向性を提供できる．基礎感性科学と社会的課題を架橋することで，両分野に同時に寄与するものである．なおフィールド研究の実施については感染症の状況を考慮しつつ慎重に検討中．
21年度は，聴覚的な崇高刺激に関してオンライン実験を行い，世代による崇高な音の対象の違い，崇高な音の音響特徴などを検討した．現在，学術誌への登校準備中である． また，崇高を含んだ美的経験に関する総説 (Linking the Neural Correlates of Reward and Pleasure to Aesthetic Evaluations of Beauty, Ishizu et al., 2023) を出版した．

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
１．新型コロナウィルス感染症の流行のため，対面実験とフィールド研究の実施開始を遅らせ，代替として大規模オンライン実験とVRによる実験を行なった．その研究実験方法の変更作業及び実験工程の見直しなどに時間を要したため。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
大規模オンライン実験によるデータ解析を進める．すでに年代別の崇高音と崇高な音の音響特徴は検証が済んでおり，今後は効果的に崇高を惹起できる音刺激の生成を目指す．効果的な崇高音の確立後，脳波実験を行う予定である．また，分担研究者のグループにより仮想空間で崇高感を得られる環境を構築できている．VR空間での崇高体験の性質についても順次検証していく．
