救命胴衣(PFD)を装着した状態のダミーが、牽引によって浮具下から離脱するには、牽引角度を変えることで力量に有意差が生じることがわかった。救命胴衣(PFD)は浮力を利用して呼吸を確保するためのディバイスである。しかしながら装着したまま浮具等の水面下に潜り込むとその浮力が障害となり離脱する事が困難となる。このような場合に離脱牽引による角度を変えることで緊急時の脱出指導あるいは救助するための牽引方向の提言になると考えられる。

水難事故による緊急時の脱出指導の提言のために、最も効率的な離脱角度の検証が必要である。また救命胴衣、インフレータブル浮具の摩擦力の違いを検証し、より安全で救命につながるPFDの開発が急務となる。
