Summary of the Research Project

The purpose of this research is the study and realization of a broadband quantum noise reduction scheme suitable for current and future generation gravitational wave detectors.

Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

This research will set a milestone for the use of coupled filter cavities and help to develop new techniques to fight one of the most limiting noises in gravitational wave detectors: the quantum noise.
