Outline of Annual Research Achievements

・昨年度、名古屋大学で受光部を交換修理して感度校正した高感度全天カメラ1式について、当初予定していたウクライナではなく、代替の場所としてドイツ南部のZugspitze観測点への設置のために現地研究者と交渉を進めた。前年度に観測を開始したWATEC社の小型CCDカメラを使った小型全天カメラを5式製作した。うち2式は令和4年夏にナイジェリアのアブジャ観測点に設置され、自動定常観測を継続した。エチオピアは現地の内戦のために大学が入構禁止になっており設置ができていない。ZWO社の小型CMOSカメラ3台も引き続きエジプトで現地での設置を待っている。
・既存のカナダ、北欧、アイスランド、アラスカ、日本、インドネシア、タイ、オーストラリアなどの観測点における光学・電磁場計測器による観測、北海道陸別のSuperDARNレーダー、ノルウェーのナトリウムライダーの計測を維持・継続した。ノルウェーのナトリウムライダーはコロナ禍で停止していたが、2022年度末に再立ち上げを行った。ロシア、フィリピンのFM-CWレーダーやロシアの光学・電磁場機器はコロナ禍やウクライナ危機のために観測が停止している。これらの観測データとGNSS衛星電波受信器網のデータのデータベース化を行った。
・これらの観測から、サブオーロラ帯の孤立プロトンオーロラの衛星ー地上同時観測、STEVEオーロラの複数例解析による特性、Pc1地磁気脈動の経度拡がりの統計、中規模伝搬性電離圏擾乱の衛星ー地上カメラの同時観測など、数多くの成果が得られている。これらの研究成果は、国内外の学会・研究会で紹介され、論文として公表された。

Reason

コロナ禍やウクライナ危機により、一部の観測が実施できていないが、既存のカナダ、北欧、アイスランド、アラスカ、日本、インドネシア、タイ、オーストラリアなどの観測点における光学・電磁場計測器による観測、北海道陸別のSuperDARNレーダーなどの計測を維持・継続できている。また、ノルウェーのナトリウムライダーはコロナ禍で停止していたが、令和4年度末に再立ち上げた。これらの観測データとGNSS衛星電波受信器網のデータのデータベース化を行った。また、また、小型カメラを開発し、上記のようにいくつかの海外観測点に送付を開始できている。さらにこれらの地上観測データをあらせ衛星などの衛星データやモデリングと比較した解析を実施し、得られた成果を国内外の学会・研究会や論文で紹介・発表している。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

令和5年度には、小型カメラを中心とした観測を新たにエチオピアやエジプトで立ち上げていく。また、既存のカナダ、北欧、アイスランド、アラスカ、日本、インドネシア、タイ、オーストラリアなどの観測点における光学・電磁場計測器による観測、北海道陸別のSuperDARNレーダー、ノルウェーのナトリウムライダー等の地上観測を維持・継続する。前年度に引き続き、これらの新しい観測データや、GNSS衛星電波受信器網のデータのデータベース化を行う。さらに、これらの地上観測データをあらせ衛星などの衛星データやモデリングと比較した解析を実施し、研究成果を上げていく。得られた成果は国内外の学会・研究会や国際誌に論文として紹介・発表し、さらに共同研究を発展させる。
