Summary of the Research Project

前駆期パーキンソン病モデルを用いて、より病態再現性の高いモデル動物の作製、発症促進・抑制因子の探索、発症遅延のための介入法の創生を試みるチャレンジングな研究である。

Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

これまでげっ歯類の黒質ニューロンの細胞死を再現することは困難であったが、応募者が開発した動物モデルで、それを可能としたことが最大の強みである。このモデルを起点として、パーキンソン病の発症前に生体内で起きる様々な事象（サイトカインによる炎症、腸内細菌叢のdysbiosis等）を確認し、未病の段階での介入法の創生が期待される。
