Summary of the Research Project	ミトコンドリア呼吸鎖長複合体の構造状態の解明、可視化、超複合体形成を促す新規小分子の同定を通じて、寿命や糖尿病病態との関連を明らかにする研究である。
Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements	応募者による発見から派生した「ミトコンドリア超複合体変容」という新たな疾患メカニズムの提唱はオリジナリティが高い。Cox7rp依存的ミトコンドリア呼吸鎖長複合体変容という観点から加齢、疾患との関連を検討する点、細胞内小器官の観点から生体の状態をとらえ、そのための解析手法を確立しようという点は独自性の高い研究である。新たな疾患メカニズムの提唱とその制御に基づく革新的な治療法開発への応用が期待される。
