本研究は、複雑かつ相異なる利害関係にある主体間のインセンティブを調整しながら、リソースを配分するメカニズムを構築し評価しようとするものである。従来のゲーム理論的資源配分メカニズムは、定性的な理論分析が中心であったのに対して、メカニズムを定量的に評価し、改善する枠組みの構築を目指している。

インセンティブの構造や強弱が事前にはわからない、従来のゲーム理論では十分に対応できないケースに備えた意思決定のアルゴリズムが、本研究によって開拓される可能性がある。そのような手法は、実社会において、政策決定や予算配分などの具体的な問題の解決に応用できる可能性が期待される。
