Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This year, I continued to study the flexible piezoelectric composites for energy-harvesting. Barium titanate (BaTiO3, BTO) and poly (vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) copolymers (P(VDF-TrFE)) were used to create a functionally graded, flexible piezoelectric material. The new production method increases output voltage during bending by 15 times and increases figure of merit (FoM) by 3.2 times. This study proposes a novel method for utilizing piezoelectric material to extract energy from human motion. I composed an academic paper based on these findings and submit it to a academic journal; the manuscript is currently undergoing review. In addition, I have attended international and domestic conferences and presented the most recent findings of this study to other researchers.
