Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
For the second year of this project, I interviewed Japanese mothers about their children`s early English learning, i.e. extra-curricular English lessons. Findings from this second stage were summarized in a research paper that is currently under review by a journal. I have also presented these results at an international conference.
In the third phase of this project, I am conducting a case study on Japanese families who are participating in early study abroad programs. Data collection using interviews and pscyhological tools has commenced in FY 2022 and will continue in FY 2023.
