| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究の目的は、ビルマ古典歌謡の伝承手段である口唱歌と口唱歌が伝える音楽構造を記述・分析し、口頭伝承の構造を明らかにすることである。口唱歌とは楽器音を言葉で伝えるもので、世界各地の音楽伝承で見られる伝承手段である。
2021年度は口唱歌とそれに対応した音楽の最小単位である「アクウェッ」との関係に焦点を絞ってその記述と分析を進めた。当初予定していたミャンマーでのフィールド調査はコロナ禍のため実施できなかったため、これまで調査記録してきた楽譜と口唱歌の書き取りに基づき作業を進めた。また、平成22－25年度科研費により撮影を行った竪琴奏者ウー・ミィンマウンの手書き楽譜約3000枚、770曲分に基づき頻出するアクウェッを抽出するため、楽譜のリスト化と画像処理（約200枚分）を行った。さらに科研課題番号118K01191で行った同一曲の異なる楽譜の整理に基づき、同一旋律に対する楽器演奏のバリエーションの分析を進めた。
課題番号18K01191での分析作業に基づきさらに事例分析を追加して研究成果をまとめ、6th Symposium of the ICTM Study Group on Performing Arts of Southeast Asia（2021年7月29日-8月5日、Tainan National University of the Arts、オンライン開催) にて、"Transmission and Memorization of Myanmar Classical Songs: with Special Reference to Akwek or the Smallest Units of Music"のタイトルで口頭発表を行った。さらに、2022年度開催予定のInternational Council for Traditional Music（ポルトガル、7月21-27日）に口頭発表を申し込みアクセプトされた（タイトル"Producing Variation in the Performance of Myanmar Classical Songs: Focusing on the Transmission and Memorization System"）。その論文執筆を進めた。

Reason
研究計画ではミャンマーに渡航し古典歌謡の口頭伝承の場で伝承の実態を記録し、口唱歌の聞き取りと記述を進める予定であったが、コロナ禍のため渡航がかなわず、新規のデータ収集はできなかった。一方で、これまで調査記録してきた口唱歌の整理と分析を進めたので、おおむね順調に進展しているとした。

現在行っている口唱歌の分析（ウー・ミィンマウンの手書き楽譜に基づいてデータの整理）を進める。収集した楽譜が画像にして3000枚ほどあり、リスト化を終了後、現在は200枚ほどの画像処理を終えた段階である。それらの研究成果を2022年度はInternational Council for Traditional Music（ポルトガル、7月21-27日）にて"Producing Variation in the Performance of Myanmar Classical Songs: Focusing on the Transmission and Memorization System"のタイトルで口頭発表を予定している。2023年度はThe ICTM Study Group on Performing Arts of Southeast Asia (PASEA) 、2024年度はInternational Council for Traditional Musicで口頭発表予定である。最終的に、口唱歌と口唱歌が伝える音楽構造を記述・分析した上で口頭伝承の仕組みを明らかにし成果をまとめる。

当初予定していたミャンマーでの現地調査が、コロナ禍のため実施できなかった。そのための予算を次年度に持ち越すこととなった。
