Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The research has been affected by Covid-19 pandemic. I could not conduct field research as planned. However, I managed to conduct online interviews of Thai firms in electric vehicle industries such Denso, BMW and Fomm (a Thai-Japanese startups) and concerned Thai government agencies, namely, Thai Automotive Institute, National Science and Technology Development Agency, Office of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, and universities having research related to electrical vehicle industries like King Mongkut of Technology Thonburi.
I plan to conduct field research in Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia. However, if it is not possible to travel due to Covid 19 pandemic, I will try to conduct only interview as many as possible.

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
As mentioned earlier, I could not conduct field research in South-East Asian countries as planned due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, I will try to conduct do it this fiscal year. If not possible, online interviews will be conducted as many as possible.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
It is up to the situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. I plan to conduct field work in summer (July-September) of this year in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia. I will try to interview established automotive firms like Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi Motors, BMW, and local electrical vehicles firms in these countries. I will also interviews government officials and university professors related to electrical vehicle promotion and research in these countries.

Causes of Carryover |
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, international travelling was not allowed. It will be used for the fiscal year of 2022 instead.
