Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we attempted to review previous research and then conducted a survey (web survey) targeting white-collar workers in the UK and Germany. The main findings are as follows. First, regarding the percentage of people who have changed jobs, the percentage of managers at large companies who have changed jobs is low in Japan but high in the UK and Germany. Second, the background that makes this possible is that the professional significance of education (professional relevance) in the sense that what you learn at school is useful in your current job is strong in Germany and the UK. Third, in addition to that, the degree to which public or social qualifications are required to give work a social character (transferability to other companies) is strong in Germany and the UK but weak in Japan.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
