Outline of Final Research Achievements

We find as trucks wait for long periods of time, truck drivers will exceed the daily restraint and overtime hours stipulated by law. One of the reasons for the long working hours of truck drivers is the series of tasks related to waiting, loading, unloading, handling and delivery.
Factories and distribution centers will be required to quickly load, unload, and handle. It was found that it would be necessary to switch from manual work to pallet loading and unloading with forklifts.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

コロナ禍をきっかけにトラック運送に関わる労働環境は大きく変化した。また、少子高齢化も一層の進展を見せたことで労働力不足が進行した。
本研究はトラック運行の効率的なシステムについて社会環境の変化に配慮しながら検証するものであったが、社会のニーズに十分に合致しており、研究の意義も大きかったと考える。減少するトラックドライバー数、物流倉庫の作業者数に対応すべく、情報システムとそれに連動したマテハン機器の導入を戦略的に行うことで、近未来の日本社会で懸念される物流崩壊のリスクを抑えていくことが可能になると考える。
