Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The objective of this study was to develop virtual reality (VR) learning materials to support the professional development of early childhood educators (ECEs). To achieve this, a VR-Eye Tracker was employed to map the practitioner's gaze and enable them to share their knowledge-based reasoning process. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) Using monitors alone was difficult for students to achieve a sense of immersion and second-person perspective. Consequently, when conducting dialogue reflection using VR images, it is crucial to consider the disparity in sensation between the monitor and the VR headset. 2) Students attempt to observe the object meticulously, yet their information processing cannot keep pace. In contrast, ECE narrows down the object. 3) We have developed 360° video software that allows multiple practitioners to share gaze information simultaneously on a PC.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
常時同時多発的な出来事が生じている保育実践の現場では,状況に応じて見る場面を選択する力や,子どもの内面の文脈を即時的に読み取る力の発達が必要で,話を通して園内で子どもの姿を共有していくことが必須である. 本研究で明らかになったVR視聴時の映像をモニタ上で共有する際の留意点や,学生と保育者の視線方略の特徴は.対話リフレクション実施時のガイドライン作成の指針となる.さらに,360°映像上で視線情報を複数間で共有可能なソフトウエアを新たに開発した.これにより,その場の臨場感を伴いながら意図的に場面を選択していく過程の共有が可能となり,より効果的で簡易な研修方法の発展に寄与するものと思われる.
