Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Magnetic skyrmions are promising for use in future data storage devices because of their topological stability at nanometer-scale dimensions. In this study, B20-type FeGe alloy, a typical example of chiral magnets that host stable magnetic skyrmions, was synthesized by means of mechanical alloying, and magnetic structure in the nano-grained B20-FeGe was observed using differential phase-contrast scanning transmission electron microscopy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
