Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We developed a submerged radical reactions method for the fabrication of metal nano oxides for photo functional applications. The radical reactions were mainly generated by light illumination, ultrasound, and reactive oxygen species (ROS). In this year's work, we mainly focused on the nanostructure fabrication on copper and copper alloys surface by using the ROS of H2O2-HClO mixture solutions. The XRD and SEM results show that a homogeneous nanostructure surface can be obtained under both UV and visible light illumination when the volume ratio of HClO to H2O2 is 2:1. The Raman spectroscopy analysis proved that CuO, Cu2O and Cu2Cl(OH)3 are formed on the metal surface. The cyclic voltammetry measurement shows that the sample with visible illumination has the highest specific capacitance.
