Outline of Final Research Achievements

We investigated the underlying mechanisms of perioperative drug-induced anaphylaxis. We found that an IgE-dependent pathway was suggested for perioperative anaphylaxis induced with some drugs by using basophil activation tests and passive sensitization.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

アナフィラキシーの発症過程におけるIgE関与の有無を調べることで、in vitro検査である特異的IgE抗体測定による原因薬同定の可否が判明する。低侵襲で実施可能な検査の選択肢が増えれば、患者の利益は大きい。また、発症機序の解明により、予防薬の開発に繋がる可能性がある。予防薬が開発できれば、アナフィラキシーによって手術が中止された患者の再手術や、原因薬剤が同定されていない患者の新たな麻酔を安全に行うことができるため、患者に加えて医療従事者の利益も大きい。
