Outline of Final Research Achievements

Primary cilia are non-motile cell organelles that grow only one cell in each somatic cell, but their role in vascular endothelium remains unclear. flox mice were crossed with mice that strongly express Vascular Cadherin Specific CRE, but these mice were suspected to be embryonic lethal and were not born at this time. Therefore, we crossed tamoxifen-inducible Cre mice with IFT88 flox/flox mice to create mice capable of knocking out IFT88 as adults for analysis.
