Outline of Final Research Achievements

We obtained National Data Base (NDB) from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Database was constructed based on NDB and completed in March 2024.We will continue data analysis to clarify the risk factors of postintensive care syndrome. In parallel, we published several papers on sepsis.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

敗血症生存患者のPICSに関する報告は海外ではされているが、残念ながら日本からこのような研究が発表されておらず、NDBを用いたPICSの発症予測因子を検討する大規模研究も行われていない。PICSは2012年に提唱された新しい疾患概念であるため、海外でも対象者が数万人単位のPICSに関する研究は未だ皆無であるのが現状である。本研究において、データ解析をする研究対象者は2.5万人となる見込みであり、本研究は、PICSの発症予測因子を解明する先駆的研究である。現在、データベースの構築が完了し、PICSの発症予測因子を明らかにすべく解析を進めている。国民の健康に寄与する結果が出ると確信している。
