Outline of Annual Research Achievements

膝半月板損傷はその後の自然修復が期待できないため、放置すると関節機能が破綻し、著しいADL低下をもたらす。本邦では半月板縫合術が関節機能温存のための唯一の治療となるが半月板組織の修復に限界があるため、骨髄から損傷部位に幹細胞を集積させる「stem cell mobilization」技術を半月板修復に応用し、治癒困難な半月板損傷を治癒させうる手法として確立することが目的である。
前年度はG-CSF投与により、修復半月板(半月板前節部分)の組織学的評価 はコントロールに比べて有意に良好であることが分かった。今年度は、末梢血および、修復半月板の間葉系幹細胞数をフローサイトメーターを用い計測した。末梢血および、半月様組織の間葉系幹細胞数は、術後1週時にG-CSF投与群で有意に多く、G-CSFを投与することで、早期に間葉系幹細胞を通じて半月板修復が促進される可能性があることが分かった。
