Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to achieve "patient safety," it has become clear that a "blame culture" that attributes responsibility to "individuals" will not ensure the "safety and security" of medical professionals themselves, and that ultimately it will be impossible to provide safe, high-quality medical care for patients. Of course, "morality" and "virtue" are not unnecessary, but "ethics education" that says "ethics are ultimately a matter of individual qualities and characteristics" will end up exhausting medical professionals who want to be "upright and innocent saints." It has also become clear that in order to "prevent" such situations, both the function of "preventive ethics" in clinical ethics consultations and "safety management" that protects patient safety are essential.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
