Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Microbes are the origin of the life in this world. They made our planet earth as a habitable place for the human being and the other animals at the beginning. These microbes which are the tiniest creature in the world can be used to solve some of the biggest problems which are currently facing by the humanity such as waste management problems, clean energy shortage, environmental pollution, and geo-disaster problems. Plant microbial fuel cell can generate bioelectricity with the big tree. We did laboratory test for that and was successful to create a new way to generate electricity with big tree.

Reason
The research is progressing rather smoothly. We completed the laboratory test with big tree plant microbial fuel cell.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
This year, we will conduct the research in the field by using a big tree. We will also develop the new bioelectrode materials for the electrode for plant microbial fuel cell.

Causes of Carryover |
In the previous year the international travel was not possible due to the COVID 19. So, we did the presentation only by online. We hope in the coming year, we can travel and attend the conference. We will also conduct the field test.
