Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this project, we developed a training program and teaching materials for high school teachers to use the concept of life cycle thinking to instruct students when they set their research questions in the period for inquiry-based cross-disciplinary study in Japan. A training program was constructed using teaching materials such as lectures, games, and group work. These materials were prepared based on the related teaching materials that are already being used in life cycle thinking-based environmental education. The developed program was implemented for high school teachers. Additionally, the opinions and requests from the training participants were reflected to expand this project into writing a book on the relationship between the life cycles of foods and products in daily lives, and global warming and SDGs in order to practically support teachers in their instruction on research question setting of students in inquiry-based learning.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
