Outline of Final Research Achievements

We defined Strategic Destination Management (SDM) as "a method of decision-making and regional management based on simulations to estimate the effects of several policy alternatives in order to create a sustainable tourist destination. Furthermore, based on the ideas of EBPM (evidence-based policy making) and SDM, we developed a method to derive the quantitative impact of tourism policies utilizing a logic tree.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

近年SDGsへの取り組みが世界的に注目されているものの，十分な裏付けをともなわない「グリーンウォッシュ」とみなされるものもある。本研究では「証拠に基づく政策立案と戦略的観光マネジメント」の考えに基づき、ロジックツリーを活用した観光施策による影響の整理を行った．さらに，施策と対応する各項目を数値化することで重回帰分析を行い、項目個別の影響に加え，複数の施策の組み合わせやその水準の差異を考慮しながら総合評価への影響、ならびに感度分析が可能な仕組みを構築した。
これらの活用によって，施策の検討段階でその影響を予測できること，効果的な施策選定，ステークホルダーの合意形成，担当者の効力感醸成が期待される．
