| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Purpose: Contrast-enhanced CT using iodine-based agents is useful for detecting lesions but can, in rare cases, trigger anaphylaxis. Because its incidence is low, early treatment may be carried forward. In this study, we aim to enable prompt intervention by using AI to detect subtle changes on imaging. Methods: We analyzed pre- and post-contrast CT scans of patients at Fujita Health University Hospital and classified them according to whether they developed anaphylaxis after receiving contrast medium. Results and Societal Impact: In the anaphylaxis group, we detected narrowing of major veins alongside dilation of peripheral airways. These imaging changes could serve as reliable markers for automated anaphylaxis detection, facilitating timely clinical intervention.
