Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This final fiscal year was mainly concerned with refining my research methodology (see below) and disseminating my research results so far at various conferences and one publication. By evaluating the sources of one more highly relevant archive and consulting relevant secondary resources, the clear collaborative and networking character of the Narutaki activities became exceedingly obvious. Beyond auteurist approaches and widely beyond the film world, these people worked with (highly importantly) specific actors, novelists, musicians, intellectuals, and industrialists to fulfil their artistic aims. To gain accessibility to these wide networks, I joined a biographical database project and started creating a database of influences, then and later. I will continue feeding data into this.
