Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Indoor air pollution is hampering the benefit of health capital and human wellbeing. To identify the policy to reduce the amount of damages, especially in developing countries, I design a field experiment in Bangladesh. Subjects of this experiment are randomly selected from rural Bangladesh who uses cooking inside households. Air pollution measurement is based upon the PM2.5, PM10 and air quality index.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have created a panel of research assistant (RA) and train them to conduct the field experiment. I am preparing the necessary devices to measure the PM2.5, PM10 and air quality index. Due to COVIOD-19 situation, the collection of the subject need additional efforts and I am dealing with it.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I am planning to conduct an experimental evaluation of an educational intervention to guide parents' indoor air pollution reduction action indirectly through their school-aged children in Bangladesh. In addition, the self-monitoring diary will increase awareness of indoor air pollution in the household. I will measure the pollution level in the household before and after the treatments.

Causes of Carryover |
Due to the COVID-19 situation in study areas, the field experiment is delayed. The research budget is necessary to conduct the experiment.
