Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Findings of the first stage of the research were presented at an international conference in Burkina Faso. Following this presentation, findings were published in International Journal of Educational Research Open. The second stage of the research found that gender inequalities in learning are explained by measured and unmeasured factors. This means that addressing only tangible factors will not likely reduce gender inequalities in learning achievements. These findings were presented at conferences, namely The 33rd Japan Society for International Development Annual Conference in December 2022 and The Japan Society for Afrasian Studies (JSAS) Annual Conference in July 2022.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The publication of findings from the second stage of the research took more time than expected. As the second stage started, feedback from presentations at conferences suggested a further analysis beyond what was planned. These delayed the progress of the research.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The second stage of the research has started and preliminary findings presented at conferences. Further analyses will be made in order to refine the findings, and these final findings will be presented at conferences. After these presentations, publication in a relevant international journal is planned.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The amount will be used to refine the findings. The refined findings will be presented at international conferences and publication in a relevant international journal will follow.
