Outline of Annual Research Achievements

すばる/Hyper Suprime-Cam探査のデータを使ったCMB重力レンズ信号の研究を引き続き行なった。最新の内部リリースデータ(S21A)を用いてドロップアウト法を用いた遠方銀河の選択を行い、合計200万天体以上の赤方偏移z~4の明るい銀河を選び、大規模遠方銀河サンプルを構築した。これらを用いてCMB重力レンズ信号・クラスタリング信号を計算し、宇宙論パラメータを決める研究を進めている最中である。

またJames Webb Space Telescope (JWST)のNIRSpec分光器による分光データを用いて赤方偏移z~4-7の遠方宇宙で大量の巨大ブラックホールを発見し、これまですばる望遠鏡等の研究で示唆されていた以上に大量のAGNが存在していることを明らかにした。また赤方偏移z~9-13で分光同定された銀河の光度関数を計算することで、z>10の宇宙初期では銀河の個数密度が銀河形成モデルの理論予測より高いことを、分光観測データをもとに確認した。これらの研究から遠方宇宙では星形成効率が高いことや初期質量関数がtop-heavyになっていることなどが示唆されてた。これらの研究は、今後遠方宇宙での宇宙論研究を進めていく上で重要な情報となる。
以上の結果を論文にまとめ、Harikane et al. (2023), The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 959, Issue 1, id.39, 18 pp., Harikane et al. (2024), The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 960, Issue 1, id.56, 22 ppで報告し、複数の招待講演を含む国際・国内会議で発表した。
