Wide-ranged turbulent flow control using singular pulsations appearing in the gas-liquid multiphase turbulent boundary layer

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

空気潤滑法において,壁面摩擦抵抗低減が生じる際に現れるボイド率の脈動現象(ボイド波)の生成メカニズムとその伝播モデリング,そしてその利用を目的に研究を行った.その結果を下記に記す.
①人工ボイド波の伝播過程のモデル:流速が異なる二つの矩形チャネル(1-2m/sと5-7m/s)に人工ボイド波を与え,ボイド波の伝播過程を調査した.波の移流速度,拡散,波形変化より,人工ボイド波の伝播過程のモデルを作成し,伝播過程と波の到達距離を推定した.結果,人工ボイド波は数十メートル以上持続可能であり,実船でも利用可能であることがわかった.
②平底船における抵抗低減率の推定:36m模型船を用いて空気潤滑法の実験を行い,局部抵抗低減率と船底の気泡分布を調査した.ラボで良く用いられる矩形流路の研究結果とは異なり,船体の全領域において気泡が船底付近にとどまることがわかった.それにより,空気潤滑法の抵抗低減率が矩形流路で得られた既存の予想より優れた下流持続性をもつことがわかった.また,ボイド率の脈動と同程度の周波数の人工ボイド波を船底に与えることで,抵抗低減率が向上できた.そして,局所低減率から船全体の抵抗低減率を推定するモデル式を作った.
③ボイド波の生成メカニズム:ボイド波は船底では顕著に現れるが,ラボ実験で用いる矩形流路では観測し難い.流下距離による境界層の発達有無がこの差を生むと仮定し,境界層暑さが変化する拡大チャネルを製作した結果,船底で観測されたボイド波の生成と発達を再現でき,境界層発達がボイド波の生成の重要因子であることがわかった.また,模型船の気泡分布計測から,ボイド波の移流速度が気泡クラスターの数密度に依存し,クラスター間の速度差により,ボイド波の生成と発達が生じることが確認された.
④計測技術の開発:船底のボイド波をモニタリングするために,気液混相乱流用の超音波計測機器の開発を行った.
