Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This study presented different expected failure modes for reinforced concrete frames with CLT (cross laminated timber) based on combination of finite element model and experiment test of small component compression test. The main achievement are as follows:1. Five different possible failure modes for RC frames with CLT infill were studied and calculation method was developed and presented in a peer reviewed paper. 2. Combination of experiment results and analysis were used to estimate the Compression strut of CLT walls. 3. Clarification of the influence of CLT compression strut width and CLT-to-RC shear connections and the probable failure mechanisms, and how it changes seismic performance from ductile to brittle failure.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Even though Corona virus situation slightly affected the progress at the beginning of the year, but research goals for this year were achieved.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
There will be two main activities for this year: 1-Further small scale tests is planned to be tested to investigate the influence of connections on the proposed method. 2-Updating and further analysis using a model to incorporate for the inelasticity of Reinforced concrete structure. 3- Application to full-scale experiments
