Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This study presented different expected failure modes for reinforced concrete frames with CLT (cross laminated timber) based on combination of finite element model and experiment test of small component compression test. The main achievement are as follows: 1.Several failure modes for RC frames with CLT infill were investigated and evaluation method was proposed. 2. New additional experiment was conducted and a combination of experiment results and analysis were used for the analysis. 3. Clarification of the influence of CLT compression strut width and CLT-to-RC shear connections and the probable failure mechanisms. 4- An analysis model using a simplified macro-model were proposed for simulation of the developed hybrid system.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Even though Corona virus situation slightly affected the progress at the beginning of the year, but research experiment and goals for this year were achieved.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
There will be two main activities for this year: 1-Further development of analysis model using simplified brace model for CLT wall proposed in the previous year. 2- Analyze and Clarify of strut width for CLT wall using data of experiment conducted last year. This will help clarify failure mode of such hybrid structures. 2-Publishing and Presenting results in two International conferences.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The experiment conducted were just finished at the end of last year and time was limited to publish it last year. Thus, the new results from last year experiment will be presented in two conferences this fiscal year.
